Baked With A Blessing’s dessert baking began in the kitchen with my loving & creative mother Stella, as she baked cookies and cakes out of her Betty Crocker cookbooks. She began training me & all her 10 grandchildren in baking dozens of Snickerdoodle and sugar cut out cookies. We treasure those memories & I feel very special whenever I use some of her baking tools. I watched her bake & decorate many cakes for our family. At my age of 20, she helped me bake & frost sugar cookies to impress a guy at work, lol. That’s where it all really began. Through further study and experimenting, Baked With a Blessing now offers desserts that can make one say, “OH MY!” My son has a part in the business, which I am so grateful for.
Baked With A Blessing was officially birthed in 2004 when I searched for ways to create money & blessing for my family. I had already been baking basketfuls of cookies and setting out dessert buffets. I said, “What will set me apart from other bakers?”

In one second the name Baked With A Blessing came into my mind and to attach an inspirational scripture message to each delectable dessert order. The purpose became not only to bake someone happy sharing incredible flavors, but to impart a blessing of encouragement from Christ into their lives. It is still common today. And as we mix and bake our luscious variety of moist Cakes and Cupcakes; soft and chewy Cookies; gourmet Blondies, Brownies and Bars; beautiful Breads and Muffins using premium quality ingredients, we pray the lives of the people who’ll enjoy them will powerfully be touched and blessed by God. Baked With A Blessing offers an incredibly sweet taste to the belly, a message to the heart and by faith, more. We extend friendliness as we interact with such special people.
Baked With A Blessing uses carefully selected natural ingredients free from extra preservatives, chemicals & food colorings wherever possible for the most desirable desserts you'll love & feel good enjoying & sharing! With excitement, we’ve added gluten-free, dairy-free, egg-free and low sugar & sugar-free desserts to our menu of wide variety. This is our "Better Choice" line of desserts. It is our deep desire to continue expanding the business, being able to touch more people with its goodness. It is our true delight to develop relationships in person and on social media. Future items include the completion of our “Recipes and Relationships” book, t-shirts & tools bakers & cooks will love!
What also motivates and thrills me about Baked With A Blessing, is working as God designed me, not only with a passion to create spectacular tasting and visually pleasing desserts, but it utilizes my background in marketing and sales, authorship, administrative work, life coaching and my life in Christ. I’ve heard it said, “A toaster isn’t truly happy unless it can toast.” Denise can’t truly be fulfilled in work unless she works as she was wonderfully created.
How about you? Our additional hope is to inspire people to discover their God-given talents and purpose so they may experience this type of fulfillment and the blessing others will receive through it. The world needs the good things God put inside each of us and I aim to make sure we don’t miss out on “you.” You won’t be around me long before I may draw attention to your unique capabilities or what I hear you saying you love, that could perhaps make you an entrepreneur or another position to solve people’s problems.
One of our former challenges was “small thinking” and overwhelm that held us back from prospering. We’ve renewed our thinking and understand there is greatness on the inside of us and prosperity is meant for us. As we prosper, our great desire to give into the Kingdom of God is met.
We have the knowledge, confidence, and necessary influences to continue to grow Baked With A Blessing and we pray for FOCUS. There are always challenges, but soon as we overcome one, we’re ready to keep pushing! So long as God guides to and you keep enjoying, we’ll keep baking ;)
